Bigelow Tea owns and runs America’s largest working tea garden, and you’re invited to visit and tour the breathtaking grounds and noteworthy factory!

Come experience the beauty and charm...View acres and acres of breathtaking tea plants as far as the eye can see, learn first-hand how tea is made during an informative Factory Tour, take an enjoyable Trolley Ride through the tea fields and help yourself to all of the iced American Classic Tea you can drink. Also be sure to visit our unique Garden Gift Shoppe. Here you can shop a vast varity of teapots and accessories as well as Charleston Tea Garden® souvenirs and of course American Classic Teas.During the Factory Tour, the Bigelow's themselves, via flat screen televisions, guide you down a glass tourway overlooking the factory. This Tour will educate you about the history of tea, the harvesting and production of our own American Classic Tea and the story of the Charleston Tea Garden®.

On the Trolley Tour, you can enjoy a scenic ride around our 127 acre farm. The Tour is narrated by William Barclay Hall, founder of American Classic Tea and world renowned Tea Taster. He will educate you about the history of America's own tea garden while challenging your knowledge of tea.

Visitors are encouraged to walk the grounds and enjoy their natural surroundings. During your exploration, you can even learn a little more about the propagation process. Stop by our Propagation Hut and read about how we select our best quality plants to be used for new acreage through a process called "cloning."

Bring the family, pack a lunch and enjoy the beauty of the tea fields. The Charleston Tea Garden®
has so much to offer. It is a unique and enriching experience that exists in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
